Alghero is a Catalan town. Gothic-Catalan inspiration and architecture can be seen in many of the buildings and churches in the historic centre, and Catalan remains the language still spoken here today amongst local residents.
Situated in the most beautiful and widest bay of the North West coast of Sardinia, the area boasts a coastal development in full respect of its surrounds. The shoreline stretches approximately 80 km, with bays and coves, shorelines and low cliffs alternating, forming spectacular views and natural environments that are reflected in the crystal-clear sea completing the picture.
